3D PRINTING SERVICES
Simbiotek offers 3D printing services using Fused Filament technology. This technology is based on extrusion printing using a naturally colored, semi-opaque PLA plastic which is biodegradable. See below for more about our 3D printing specifications. We also offer domestic and international shipping for interested parties out of San Diego County.

Our pricing is based on the volume of your model. To reduce cost, consider hollowing out your model to reduce the amount of material used to print – this can save you up to 80%!

STEPS TO CREATING A 3D PRINT
1Prepare your 3D model for printing by making sure your design is water tight, meaning all lines, mesh, etc. are closed surfaces with a minimum thickness of 1/32″ or 0.79375 mm to ensure your print will hold up and is the resolution you are expecting. If we print a model as-is and there is missing information/massing we are not responsible. If Simbiotek is asked to do this task, we charge $30/hr.
2 Export your 3D model as one of the following file types: .stl or .obj (.stl preferred)
3 Email your file to contact@simbiotekdesignlab.com.
4 You will receive a call or email verifying that we have received your model. We will confirm the timeline, method of pick-up/shipping and resolution with you at that time.
5 You will receive a call or email that your order is ready. Order can be paid by credit/debit, cash or check. Please make all checks payable to Simbiotek Design Lab.
