Hunter has been experimenting with our custom designed coffee table using computer controlled lighting that is smart enough to know when you place a glass on its surface.

He has also been working with new technologies that are sensor or user controlled. Check out the two videos below to see the other new technologies we are experimenting with here at the lab. The sensors  drive motor rotation by using Rhinoceros with Grasshopper and Firefly plug-ins.

The first video shows the capability to use an infrared sensor to drive a servo motor’s rotation from 0 -180 degrees based on a distance reading from 20 cm to 150 cm.

The second video I’m using the IR sensor to drive the rotation of a diagrid panel system in the rhino/ grasshopper environment.
